game design
I graduated from Bradley University in 2024 with a Bachelor's of Science in Game Design.
During my studies, I had the pleasure to work on many unique projects and teams
(while learning to wear a LOT of different hats, too).
Here are some of those projects!

Our Name is the Stars is an narrative spaceflight adventure game set in a beautiful and dangerous place at the edge of the universe.
In my role as Creative Director, I was tasked with guiding the game's overall vision and design as well as directing the efforts of a 20+ person multidisciplinary team.
I made individual contributions in sound design, graphic design and music production throughout development as well.
Developed from August 2023 to May 2024.

S.C.O.U.T. is a rover exploration game where players pilot a rover with dual flight sticks and a control console to explore an alien planet and catalog its wonders.
This project was made for FUSE, an annual student work showcase and public outreach event held at the Peoria Riverfront Museum. As such, its design incorporates novelty, accessibility and time limitation to appeal to the target audience of FUSE attendees.
As Team Lead on the project, my responsibility was to manage and direct the 20+ person team throughout development in order to meet milestone goals and a minimum viable product. In terms of individual contributions, I made UI/UX assets, worked on general graphic design and promotional materials.
Developed from October 2022 to May 2023.

Quality Assurance is a wacky and open-ended shooter/sandbox game where you “work” as a QA intern at a company that manufactures ridiculous and reckless sci-fi products for the everyday consumer.
Entrusting them to you will be a mistake they won’t soon forget.
I served as Producer on the project. Along with my responsibilities in managing our team's communication, scope, and timeline, I personally created and implemented all sound in-game, made some art assets, produced the trailer and other promotional materials. Although the process was very involved, working on QA provided some of the greatest fun and fulfillment I've ever felt during a project.
First developed from August 2022 to December 2022,
with further iteration/polish all the way up to April 2023
for its debut at FUSE that same year.

Off the Rails is an endless arcade train shooter set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, made within the course of two weeks for the 9th Bored Pixel Game Jam. It ranked 3rd in the Immersion category and placed 8th out of 41 entries overall!
I contributed to overall design, made sprites and animations for all weapons (along with programming some of them), and lent my voice for the menu announcer.
Developed in December 2021.

Tower of Power is a 2D tower defense game where you play as a disgruntled old wizard with too much power in their hands and too many enemies on their lawn.
My contributions to this game were the soundtrack, boss art, UI sprites and various particle effects.
Developed from August 2021 to December 2021.

SHADOWS is a 2D puzzle game where you play as a newborn AI, whose sole power is changing a 0 to a 1. Explore the mainframe. Control your world.
This game and all its assets (minus the fonts and music) are my own work.
Developed from September 2020 to December 2020.
